Dong Thap is a province in the South of Vietnam, belonging to Mekong Delta area. Dong Thap is famous for lotus fields presenting every where. So, lotus root and lotus seed have become specialties of this place. Dong Thap is also a place for eco-tourism.

It is located 163km from Ho Chi Minh city. Like provinces in the Central and South, Dong Thap has two seasons: dry and rainy season. The rainy season starts from May to November, the dry season starts from December to April. There are 21 ethnics living throughout the province. There are attractions such as: Go Thap Ruin, Xeo Quyt Ruin, Nguyen Sinh Sac Tomb, Tram Chim National Park where you can come to nature in a natural way, Muoi Tower Stork Garden - a garden of wings, Tan Quy Dong flower village - beauty in a small village, famous for Sa Dec Rose Garden, Lai Vung - territory of tangerine which is a big party for those who love fruit. Besides, Dong Thap has quite many famous traditional craft village such as: Dinh Yen with the craft is making sedge mat, Long Khanh with weaving and International Border Zones,etc where you can buy something for yourself or relatives.
Tram Chim National Park
Although Dong Thap does not thrive in tourism, it has also accommodation for you to stay. It can be listed with the names: Song Tra, Sa Dec, Bong Hong, Hoa Binh, Mong Yen,etc. Come here, you will see the acvities of people here and you may want to experience with the life here.

Dong Thap has no less specialties for you to enjoy such as: Sa Giang shrimp chips, an interesting snack; Lai Vung pork hash, Lai Vung pink tangerine, Hoa An sugar tangerine, Cao Lanh mango, Cao Lanh mouse, Sa Dec noodle, Cao Lanh rice pancake folded in half, Muoi Tower lotus, lotus wine, Chau Thanh longan, Snail grilled with pepper, Cao Lanh grilled chicken and so on.
