Khanh Hoa - one of the major tourist centers of Vietnam.

Khanh Hoa is a coastal province of South Central of Vietnam, it has more than 200 km of coastline and nearly 200 small and large islands with many beautiful bays such as: Van Phong, Nha Trang, Cam Ranh,etc. Along with North Cam Ranh Peninsula International Tourist Zone,the mild climate with the average temperature is 26⁰C and many famous historical and cultural relics. With these advantages,  Khanh Hoa has become one of the major tourist centers of Vietnam.



Located 447km from Ho Chi Minh city and 1.278km from Hanoi. Being a province near Truong Son mountain range, most of the area of Khanh Hoa is mountains, plain is narrow, just 400 square km and the plain is divided into cells, separated by mountains go to the sea. If you want to go through the province, you must go through many passes: Ca Pass, Co Ma Pass, Chin Cum Pass, Banh It Pass, Ro Tuong Pass, Ru Ri Pass.


The province has two seasons :rainy season and dry season. The rainy season begins from the middle of September to the middle of December, the moths left is dry season. Khanh Hoa doesn't have many storms, but,  due to river terrain is steep  when a storm accompanied by heavy rain , as the water level rises rapidly , while the storm surge and tide sprint back the way out to sea , so often cause flooding .

Khanh Hoa is one of the big tourist centers of Vietnam. Thank to the coastline extends over 200km and 200 small and big islands. It has 6 big lagoons and bays, they are: Dai Lanh, Van Phong Bay, Hon Khoi, Nha Phu lagoon, Nha Trang Bay and Cam Ranh Bay. It has famous cultural relics such as: Po Nagar Tower, Dien Khanh old city, the ruins of scientist Alexandre Yersin,etc. Besides, Khanh Hoa has also many the war zone relics, revolutionary bases. Forms of tourism in Khanh Hoa is very rich with forms such as: eco-tourism island , sightseeing tours, cultural tourism,etc. There are big resorts and hotels such as: Ana Mandara, Vinpearl Land,Sheraton Nha Trang hotel & spa, Novotel,  Evason Hideway. And, Nha Trang is the best place of the province, it plays as an important role for many big events such as: Miss Vietnam , Miss World Vietnamese 2007 and 2009 , Miss Universe 2008 , Miss Earth 2010 and Sea Festival which is held every 2 years.


It has not only beautiful scenics for you to visit but also festivals for you to join and learn. Currently, Khanh Hoa province still retains plenty of festival, there are some famous festivals such as: Thap Ba Festival: from March 20th to 23th of Lunar Calendar at Po Nagar Tower(Nha Trang city) to remember the godness Po Ino Nogar; Am Chua Festival: from April 2th of Lunar Calendar to remember the godness Y A Na, also known as Ba Chua;etc.

To be a coastal province so Khanh Hoa is also influenced deeply cuisine style from the sea, with the main ingredients are made from sea food. Besides, the resident moved from provinces:Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Quang Nam and Quang Ngai so cuisine style is also influenced from these provinces. The specialties of Khanh Hoa are known such as: Ninh Hoa meat roll, Banh mi Nha Trang, Lac Canh grilled beef, Pho Nha Trang, etc. Moreover, Khanh Hoa has two special products from nature:

Bird's nest is the kind of food, the famous pharmaceutical. This is a special dish in the East Asian countries such as: Japan , Korea , China , Vietnam and many other countries . Salanganes'Nest of Khanh Hoa is considered as King nest.
