The 36 streets in Hanoi, why do not they build new streets?

Have you come to the ancient streets of Hanoi? Is there anything special? At first, hearing the name, I am sure you will think everything is ancient.


Not wrong! Many things are ancient but not all. The 36 ancient streets of Hanoi are old, it is living in a modern space. It is trying to integrate but still keeping the traditional values.
For someone, it is nothing, many wires, old, narrow. For others, it is a witness of Vietnam's history, a beautiful traditional value of Hanoi people in particularly, Vietnam people in general.

What about my opinion?

I agree it has many wires, it is old, narrow, crowded. Why don't you look at other aspects?, it is only a small part of the streets. Everything is developing, so does it. The streets is changing its look day by day, trade is happening as in the past, combining a new air of the modern world. Cafés, restaurants, shops, sidewalk restaurants, house-restaurant, they live in a space of harmony between new and old, modern and classic.


It not only changes its look but also keep, develop many traditional crafts. The 36 streets correspond to 36 goods which were sold, some streets has still sold but not many. Some streets such as: Bac street(Silver street) sells silver, Mam street (Sauce street) sells sauce, Giay street(Paper street) sells paper and so many.


Besides, cuisine of Hanoi also is no less develop here. Many kinds of food is concentrated, I think this makes visitors look easily without moving far away. Of course, each nation, each region has its own characteristic cuisine and Hanoi has also owns. I can't write all about cuisine of Hanoi right here because it is too long. Just use some word to describe for you: delicious(of course), special, strange, interesting, warm.
