Nha Trang
This is the senior resort of Vietnam, a place of pristine white sand and the diving center of tourists. There are also a number of offshore islands could bring interesting experience. One of the factors that makes the attraction of Nha Trang is the abundance and diversity of marine life.
At this point, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the marine life in the beautiful islands near Hon Mun Marine Protected Area with names such as Marine beach, Hon Rom( Madonna Rock), Bai Ca Chinh (Moray Beach), Goat cliff and Electric Nose, where tourists can dive from a depth of 10 - 15m, watch the colorful coral reefs.
Besides, you can experience the natural paradise in Whale Island. This island has been long familiar with diver and this is place where French marine scientist, Mr. Jacques Cousteau found inspiration with the world ocean research.
Being submerged of this area is always a great experience with longtime divers. They can slightly swim along slopes or drop their body to the deep waters or adventure with deep cracks. Besides, the world of marine life also brings equally impressive, you can encouter great whales and even sharks in the deep waters offshore.
Con Dao Island
Con Dao is also a notable tourist destination, although this area has not really developed as Nha Trang. Con Dao Island is also known as tourist area which is still kept the most primitive of Vietnam. People discover only a small part of the island, other big part is still pristine. With a population of 5,500 people, Con Dao is very clean and quiet.
In Con Dao Island, visitors can find 20 dive sites, including the shallow waters for beginners those who start diving, professional divers can come to the deepest area. The dive sites here which have a depth of 21 meters satisfying longtime divers. This is the only place where you can see pelagic fish, turtles, sharks, rays and countless other aquatic species. That has made Vietnam become famous.
Phu Quoc
Phu Quoc is the real place to help people flee from the noisy and crowded place in the land. It is developing and rapidly and increasingly known by more and more domestic and foreign tourists. Visitors can participate in diving in the northwest area of the island or small islands around the southern region.
The ideal location for diving or not often depends on the wind, the things change quite frequently in Phu Quoc. Furthermore, due to its location close to the Mekong Delta, Phu Quoc scene is not always clear as Nha Trang or Whale Island. However, the alluvial flow from the Mekong Delta is always warm so it makes hard coral species in Phu Quoc grow in a great way.
Time for the best diving in Vietnam is about May to July, the sea is calm and clear, with the vision of about 20 - 30m. Period from November to February every year, this is low season for diving because of big winds, rough seas.
