Attractive with Ka Te festival of Cham ethnic in Ninh Thuan province

Ka Te festival of Cham ethnic in Brahmanism in Ninh Thuan province will take place on 10/4/2013. And, All levels of government have facilitated for Cham ethnic to hold the festival at the temples, towers; to organize cultural activities in order to serve the central areas of Cham ethnic.
Ka Te festival is known as Mbang Katé which is a sacred folk festival and very important. The festival is dedicated to honor the national heros those who are honored as gods. In the festival, many people gather at the ancient towers, temples to enjoy the folk dances in the musical treasure of Cham ethnic, to rest and bless each other.
To begin the festival, they are going to do many ceremonies: ceremony of receiving clothes, ceremony of opening door of the tower, ceremony of bathing for god statue, ceremony of wearing for the statue and the main ceremony. When the sacred dance is finished, the outside of Cham tower will open the festival. Every dance is combined with the sound of Paranung drum, Saranai trumpet creating a fun space. The festival is held in small scale, it is carried out in each village, a day later by each family. All members of each family will gather with a presider who is often the head of family, older one or head of the family in the clan. They pray for their family to be blessed luck, health. The festival is also the opportunity for everyone to be close, love each other in life, to have fun and entertain after a year of hard work as Tet Nguyen Dan.
This year, the festival has also the presentation of Southern Women's Museum (Ho Chi Minh city) along with Center for Research of the Cham culture (Ninh Thuan province) hold a thematic exhibition of costume, traditional jewelry of Vietnam ethnic minority women at Center for Research of the Cham culture. The province has also made the effective integration of programs and projects; deployed research and application of scientific subjects; transferred technology; deployed research on festival, culture, art; edited books and taught Cham language.
