Thanh Hoa - an interesting land

Thanh Hoa is a province of the Central in Vietnam, it is known by a beautiful beach which attracts many people when summer comes.  Of course, there are many things for you to discover in this land. Let's see what it has. 


Thanh Hoa is located about 150km from Hanoi, 1.560km from Ho Chi Minh. It is situated near the North and it is a province in the Central, so the climate here is divided into 4 seasons. Thanh Hoa weather has some following features: heavy rainfall, high temperature, abundant natural light.

Being a province which has the beautiful beach, it is Sam Son. So, it attracts many people to come every year.  Sam Son beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam, it is located 16 km from Thanh Hoa province, it has the length of 10 km so you can freely run. It is situated in the famous land associated with many festivals such as: Doc Cuoc Temple festival, An Duong Vuong festival, Khai Minh pagoda festival and so on. If you are interested in forest, there are two national parks for you to explore, they are: Ben En National Park which belong to Nhu Thanh district, 36km to the southwest from Thanh Hoa city, the total area of 16.634 hectares with many rich trees and animals; Cuc Phuong National Park which has a part belonging to Thach Thanh district. Not only that, there are Natural Protected Areas: Pu Hu, Pu Luong, Xuan Lien, Tam Quy. You like fish, there is a place for you to watch fish, it is Cam Luong Fish God Stream which is situated in Ngoc village, Cam Luong commune, Cam Thuy district, over 70km from Thanh Hoa city, the stream has thousands of fish swimming all day, it is special not only fish but also cool and clean water, you can wash your face but I don't think you should bath here.

Thanh Hoa was a place for a dynasty in Vietnam and it underwent many ups and downs of the history. So, it has quite many historical relics such as: Nga Son Relic Group including Tu Thuc Cave, Than Phu water front, Ba Dinh war zone, Mai An Tiem Temple, so on; Ho Wall Relic Group; Lam Kinh Historical Relic belongs to Xuan Lam, Tho Xuan district,50km from Thanh Hoa city; Temple of the Later Le dynasty, Ham Rong bridge, Ba Trieu temple, Le Hoan temple, Muon waterfall, etc.

To meet the needs of your stomach, there are lots of specialties for you to enjoy: Lam sweetened porridge, mountainous goat, hill chicken of Vinh Loc district, glutinous rice cake dyed black in a concotion of leaves, Bo Bridge rice paper, dishes made from mussel (Thieu Hoa district), black sugarcane or seafoods: crabm oysters , shrimp , squid , mackerel of the districts :Sam Son, Tinh Gia, Nga Son. Especially, Thanh Hoa cuisine is famous for pork hash and each pork hash in each place brings its own flavor that I am sure you won't forget that flavor.
