Ca Mau is a coastal province in the South of Vietnam, located in the Mekong Delta. It is a young land, explored over 300 years. Although tourism has not developed as other places, Ca Mau has many things in daily life of people here for you to discover.

Ca Mau city of Ca Mau province is located 350 km from Ho Chi Minh city by road, 130 km from Can Tho city by river line or you go there by airline. Ca Mau is in the equatorial monsoon tropical climate. Like other provinces in the South, Ca Mau has also two seasons : dry season and rainy season. The rainy season begins from May to November, the dry season begins from December to April. Ca Mau is low land so it is frequently flooded. Ca Mau's forest is a special type of ecology, coastal mangrove forest stays along the coast with the length of 254km. Besides, Ca Mau has also melaleuca forest ecosystem locating deep in the continent in districts: U Minh, Tran Van Thoi, Thoi Binh with the total area of 35000 ha. The area of mangrove forest in Ca Mau accounts for 77 % of the Mekong Delta region.
U Minh National Park
Population of Ca Mau includes: Viet people(Kinh ethnic), Chinese ethnic, Khmer ethnic, Cham ethnic and other ethnics. So, the traditions and festivals here are rich. The biggest festival in Ca Mau is Nghinh Ong festival which is derived from Cham ethnic and Kinh ethnic acquires and develops. Nghinh Ong festival is held in three days February 14,15,16 of Lunar calendar every year. It is known as fishermen festival to pray good weather, good sea, luck for fishermen. Also, Ky Yen festival which is a popular festival of people in the Mekong Delta. It is held every year in days:15,16,17 of Lunar Calendar (the month is depended on each region) throughout the villages of the South. With three days of the festival, people have happiness with gods with the sound of instruments.
Nghinh Ong Festival
There are quite many places for you to admire such as: Quan Am Co Tu, a small pagoda a place associated with the spiritual life of Ca Mau people and it was regconized as historical site in 2002; Ba Ma Chau pagoda; Hung Quang pagoda; Monivonsa BoPharam pagoda, a pagoda of Khmer ethnic; Cao Dan pagoda; Hon Khoai; Tram Chim National Park, Floating Market ; U Minh Ha National Park; Thi Tuong Lagoon; Dam Doi Bird sanctuary; Mui Ca Mau National Park; Biodiversity Zone, 184 Forest - Fishing Ground; Forest Village and so on.

To serve your stomach, Ca Mau has raw bee larvae, a dish with fat taste, eat once and I am sure you never forget it; field mouse, a rustic dish which can be processed into many dishes; grilled snakehead and other dishes waiting for you to enjoy.
