14countries join in UNESCO Heritage Festival in Lam Dong

From Dec27th to 31th,2013, UNESCO Heritage Festival Vietnam - ASEAN 1st has the participation of 10 ASEAN countries and 4 partner countries of ASEAN including India, China, Japan and South Korea. This event is in the framework of Culture and Tourism Week 2013 in Da Lat city.


UNESCO Heritage Festival will present, perform and promote 24 characteristic cultural heritages, each country has two heritages(one tangible heritage and one intangible heritage ), including the heritages which were recognized or not by UNESCO. Particularly, the host - Vietnam, in addition to two  UNESCO heritages which represent for the nation, representative of provinces and cities have also other UNESCO heritages to present.

Along with  UNESCO Heritage Festival Vietnam -ASEAN 1st, there are three important events, also in the framework of  Culture and Tourism Week 2013, they are the announcement ceremony of the National Tourism Year 2014 Tay Nguyen - Da Lat; 120th anniversary of the formation and development of Da Lat city; Da Lat Flower Festival 5th - 2014.

A total of 23 programs , including 8 major programs and 15 activities in response will take place during Culture and Tourism Week 2013. Notably , there are the international conference "UNESCO Heritage Network in Southeast Asia :Conservation associated with sustainable development " ; Performing UNESCO intangible heritage of ASEAN; UNESCO heritage Vietnam - ASEAN  Carnaval and Da Lat Flower; Heritage and Art Garden; the economic forum Lam Dong - Da Lat; Opening tours in 2014 National Tourism Year; International Trade Expo 2013,etc. All events will be taken place in Da Lat city, Lam Dong province, with opening ceremony at the night of Dec27th and closing ceremony at the night of Dec31th, along with the activities to welcome new year promising to bring much joy for you.
