1. Flower market on Tet from January 23 in Lunar Calendar

Since December 23th in Lunar Calendar, people around the area who carrying flower to sell along the Huong River, Nghinh Luong Dinh Park, Provincial Culture and Sports Center, Nguyen Dinh Chieu street. That are Nguyệt Biều's tuberose, Bãi Dâu's chrysanthemum, Phú Thượng's dahlia, Dương Xuân's apricot blossom,etc.

In Phong Dien , there is Xuan Dien Hoa market where people sell apricot blossom and spring flower  festival. All of them create a happy atmosphere. Walking in flower market is an indispensable habit with people in Hue and tourists visit Hue. 

2.Market on December 30th of Lunar calendar

On December 30th in Lunar Calendar, the family in Hue have to prepare for tray of rice to offerings on the end of the year, buy biscuit ,candy, jam,food for Tet.

Come to the market on this moment, tourists can admire the cultural characteristics of the Hue Festival picturesque village church, flower paper Thanh Tien, tét cake of chuồn village,etc

3.Visit pagoda on 1st day of Lunar New Year

On the New Year's days, trees sprout, flowers bloom which make the pagodas in Hue like fairyland. In addition to go to temple to pray for health, luck and business prosperity, tourists can visit the scene of the temple on spring's days, enjoy tea and cake, take the word.

Some pagodas which tourists should visit in Hue on Tet are:Thien Mu pagoda, Tu Dam pagoda, Dieu De pagoda, Huyen Khong Son Thuong pagoda,etc.

4.View boat racing on 2nd day in Lunar New Year

People in Hue often choose the 2nd day of Lunar New Year to organize a race boat, the boat full of color, from the village set on a river distance to compete.

Both sides of the river, the people are comerge, shout to fire for the home team. The race lasts from morning until late afternoon.

Boat racing is one of the age-old pastime, it appeared in Hue from the footsteps of Vietnamese followed Nguyen Lord came to south to open border. come to see boat racing, tourists can enjoy a unique culture of Hue during the Lunar New Year.

5.Come to Gia Lac market on the 3rd of Lunar New Year.

Gia Lac market - This is a special fair,it contains cultural beauty, the behavior of the people of Hue. This market only meet  three days of Tet.

People come to market not to sell, that is a habit for a long time. They happy, get luck, so they dress neat, luxury,especially, the walk, talk and exchange with each other are quartet, polite. They do not argue, not to sound like on normal days. that is desired spiritual harmony, good social relationships whenever a new year comes. 

6. Many attractive festivals until Mid-January (Lantern Festival)

 From 1st day to 15th day of Lunar New Year, Hue has a series of festivals such as: 

- Đu tiên festival in Điền Hòa(Phong Điền distric) và Sịa town, Quảng Thọ village(Quảng Điền distric)

- Festival for fishermen in Lang Co Town(phú lộc distric) and in thuận An(Phú Vang distric)

- Wrestling festival of Sình village( Phú Vang distric) and wrestling festival in Thủ Lễ village in Sịa town 

- Huyen Tran temple festival in An Tây ward,etc.

7. Enjoy cuisine on new year's days in hue
