Son Doong Cave is located in Son Trach village, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province. Son Doong is located in populations Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. It is part of the underground system connected to more than 150 caves in Vietnam and near the border of Laos. This cave was discovered by Ho Khanh who is a local people, he guided the expedition British Royal Cave Society to Son Doong and he has named this cave.
On 22.04.2009, the Royal Cave Society announced about the world's biggest cave and said Son Doong has a width of 200 meters,height of 150 meters, length of at least 6.5 kilometers . However, with this size, Son Doong cave passed Deer cave in Gunung Mulu National Park of Malaysia ( with height of 100meters , width of 90meters, length of 2 kilometers) to account for the position of the world's biggest natural cave.
