Bac Lieu, a land of salt

Bac Lieu is a province in the Mekong Delta, located on Ca Mau peninsula, the land in the South of Vietnam. Bac Lieu is known as salt craft, although the salt craft is not popular as before, Bac Lieu is still a place which is the largest salt producer in western.



The terrain of Bac Lieu is mainly plain, no hill, thank to that, it does not have the large geological tremors. The climate is the tropical monsoon climate, divided into two seasons:dry and rainy season. The dry season starts from October or November to April or May, the rainy season starts from April or May to October or November.

Referring to Bac Lieu, they will think of anecdotes about a dasher who was famous throughout the provinces in the South because he was a playboy. Of course, there are many other dishes such as: beet cake, beef vermicelli, rice noodle fried with elderberry, fish sauce hotpot, seafood hotpot,etc which are processed by the way of Bac Lieu people.
