Thai Nguyen is a province in the North of Vietnam, it is a major economic and social center of the northeastern, midland and mountainous north. Besides, it is famous for tea, a good drink for health.

The province is located 50 km from Noi Bai International airport, 75 km from the center of Hanoi, 200 km from Hai Phong port. With a geographic location in the center of absolutism, economy and society, Thai Nguyen is the economic gateway exchanging between mountainous midland and the Northern Delta. Located in the humid subtropical climate, so the climate in Thai Nguyen is divided into three regions: Much cold region in the north of Vo Nhai district; Medium cold region includes districts : Dinh Hoa, Phu Luong, and the south of Vo Nhai district; Warm region includes districts: Dai Tu, Thai Nguyen city, Dong Hy, Phu Binh, Pho Yen and Song Cong town. Thai Nguyen has two seasons: dry and rainy season, the dry season starts from May to October, the rainy season starts from October to May next year.

Thai Nguyen province has some typical tourist destinations for you. Nui Coc Lake tourist area is the biggest tourist of the province, the lake has the width of km² and 69 small and large islands, it is a great place for you to resort. There are a series of pagoda and temple for you to visit: Duom temple, Hang pagoda, Phu Lien pagoda, Xuong Rong temple. To increase adventurousness for your trip, you can come to Nam Rut waterfall, Phuong Hoang cave, Hang Doi cave. There are three more mirrors for you to look, they are Vai Mieu lake, Ghenh Che lake, Suoi Lanh lake.
Nui Coc Lake
Being the place of many ethnic groups living, so the cuisine of Thai Nguyen is diverse. Some ethnic groups in the province often cook seven colours steamed sticky rice in special occasions. In Dinh Hoa district, Lam Rice is a specialty of this area, it is not cooked in a pot, cooked in a bamboo stick on fire. Banh Chung Bo Dau Village ( Bo Dau Square Glutinous Rice Cake) is situated in Co Lung commune, Phu Luong district, it is not only famous in Thai Nguyen but also known as when Tet comes. Tea of Thai Nguyen is a drink which is very famous throughout Vietnma and honored as the best tea, also dubbed as " Tea Capital of Vietnam ". And, there are many delicious dishes of the ethnic groups are waiting for you to enjoy.
