Hoi An ancient town exists as a simple, rustic and charming picture. Whether day or night, Hoi An still has the alluring beauty. Thus, Hoi An is always a favourite destination of many tourists.

Journey
Currently, Da Nang has international airport, this helps you easily travel to Hoi An, you can book a direct route to Hoi An. However, if your area does not have the filght to Hoi An, you can book a route to Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh city, then continue flying to Da Nang.
Hoi An - a perfect destination for those who love travel
From Da Nang city to Hoi An, I have two ways for you:
- You can go along Highway 1 about 27km to the south, see Vinh Dien street, turn left, keep going about 10km. Come to Hoi An by Huynh Khang street, you can visit Cham Bang Anh tower in Vinh Dien.
- The second way is closer, but more deserted, go from the center of Danang through Han river, on the provincial road Da Nang - Hoi An, visit Ngu Hanh Son mountain, about 30km to Hoi An.
Hoi An has full of transportation services for you such as: bus, taxi, pedicab, motorbike. You can also rent motorbike, bicycle to roam freely around Hoi An or you can walk.
The prominent attractions in Hoi An
- Bridge Pagoda: the destination should not ignore, it is the jewel in the heart of Hoi An. Despite of small shape, it contains many ups and downs under mysterious yin-yang roof tiles. The bridge was built in the late 16th century and called Japanese bridge. In 1719, the two sides are where bustling shopping.

- The ancient house at 77, Tran Phu street: typical tube house, between the house, the wooden walls surround carved vivid.
- The ancient house at 101, Nguyen Thai Hoi street, the living room is a sophisticated sculptural work. Shell crab and two crossed scabbard in the ceiling, it's strange!
- Guangdong Assembly Hall worships Guan Gong, located in Tran Phu street.
- China Assembly Hall worships Thien Hau.
- Fujian Assembly Hall was built in 1857, also worships Thien Hau.
- Hai Nam Assembly Hall which worships 108 Chinese people died unfairly under Tu Duc King.
- Chaozhou Assembly Hall or known as Ong Bon pagoda in Nguyen Duy Hieu street. It is a small assembly hall, was meticulous built, started building in 1845 materials brought from China.
- The ceramic exhibition house of Hoi An, located in Tran Phu street. This is a beautiful old house which was restored with the contribution from Showa University, Japan.
- Hoi An Museum of Cultural History is situated on the campus of Ong pagoda which worships Guan Gong and Ba pagoda which worships Guan Yin. The two pagoda were started building from the 17th century and has been renovated several times.
- Cua Dai beach: located 5km from Hoi An to the east. This is the ideal beach with white sand, blue water, small waves and the sun is always shining.
Accommodation
Hoi An is a place where hotels are often crowded. As a tourist city, Hoi An attracts many foreign tourists so it is no shortage of hotel, right the downtown, rates is quite high, but hardly empty room.
There are many clean inns which are no less hotel, and the price is much cheaper. Hotels have many rooms, are also cheap and near ticket booth.

Eating, shopping
Cao lau is a dish as simple as Quang noodle, less broth, noodle mix with vegetables and meat. Cao lau is made from rice flour of Hoi An, soaked in water from melaleuca wood in Cu Lao Cham, must be used from Ba Le well, tough noodle. That is Cao Lau, specialty of Hoi An.
Hoi An also has rice paper with mixing mussel. Because many Chinese people live in Hoi An so Hoi An is also famous for dumpling and "vac cake". Both cakes have filling from shrimp and meat, but more delicious by soaking flour in water from the well and sauce made by the seller.
Rice with Chicken of Hoi An is a dish which you should try. In addition, you like sweet, you can enjoy all kinds of sweetened porridge in Hoi An. The cakes you can buy as a gift such as: "in cake", "green bean cake", "it cake" and so many other kinds.
Hoi An also has plenty of souvenirs for you to buy as a gift: lanterns, handicrafts goods and so on. A particular point of souvenirs here is mainly handmade products so they are very subtle.

+, You should travel to Hoi An on the full moon day. That time, the old town ban means, turn off lights, beautiful lanterns is lit up. This will create a special, romantic and peaceful space.
