Visiting Ben Tre, a small province in the Mekong River, you can come to Vam Ho, a popular Vietnam tourist destination attracting visitors. You can get there by road or waterway. Vam Ho Bird Sanctuary is located about 52 kilometers from Ben Tre town, about 120 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh city. It is located between My Hoa commune and Tan Xuan commune, Ba Tri district, near Ba Lai river.
Vam Ho is the convergence of many wild forests with a variety of trees, including coconut water, mangroves, and reed,etc. Vam Ho has long been a favorite destination of many animals, especially birds. There are about 84 species of birds in 35 biology class, including 500,000 storks. Vam Ho Bird Sanctuary is home of thousands of storks, herons and many other kinds of birds. The best time to see stork is from April to October, because this is the time when they take refuge in Vam Ho garden and feed their babies.
At 4:00-5:00pm daily, an interesting event takes place. Thousands of white storks fly to home, which makes trees white. Meanwhile, herons start looking for food. Besides, you can also see many kinds of storks as well as bats, snakes, weasels and pythons. You will be lost in the world of birds, with many shapes and sounds. The sound of thousands of birds has become ascinated songs of the jungle. In addition, The songs of storks have differences but they mix together with the sound of leaves, which make a quiet summer's night more interesting.
