Vietnam National Administration of Tourism apologized a foreign visitor

April 25th, 2013, General Director of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism met and apologized Ms Ilona Schultz - a Australian tourist was scammed when travelling Hanoi.

Tourism leader apologized Ms Ilona Schultz for the unfortunate event happened and explained that: this is uncommon problem. Ms. Ilona Schultz said: " It is unfortunate that this is happening and small, everywhere possible including the civilized countries and I see it as a risk.
I don't think that the police forces is good like that and the leader of tourism industry is care, share and apologize what is not performed everywhere".She promised that she will return Vietnam in July with friends and put this on the facebook for her friends to understand more about Vietnam - a friendly and hospitable country.

General Director of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism has given gift for her before she returned home to express the sincerity for the tourist.

Earlier, April 24th, after visiting the One Pillar Pagoda, Ms. Ilona Schultz and her two children hired a cyclo to go to The Thang Long Water Puppet Theater and agreed 70.000 VND. But, when came to Hang Trong street, the pedicab driver stopped and required 1,3 million VND. When came back the hotel, Ms. Ilona Schultz complained with hotel staff and the person took her to report to the Dien Bien ward police. The police force arrested the pedicab driver. This man admitted his violation and returned to her 1.3 million VND. However, she would like to reduce form of handling violations for the pedicab driver and sent the amount previously agreed. He does not have practice license so was confiscated vehicles and administrative sanctions.
