The first time visit to Sai Gon(Ho Chi Minh city), I was surprised with a small neighborhood in Tan Phong ward( 7 district, Ho Chi Minh city), there are many restaurants, shops and people of many different countries living here, focusing residents of the 50 countries of the five continents to settle down and live. I have a feeling this is a world in miniature, people who live here are very friendly and they call this place the "multinational" neighborhood. If you travel to Saigon, please visit here to experience the special things of this place.
A Korea restaurant in the "multinational" neighborhood.
For many different reasons, many people from Asia: Korea, Japan, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Iran, etc; Europe: the UK, France, Russia, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Poland, Italy, Spain, Portugal; Americas: U.S., Canada, Brazil, etc ; Australia: New Zealand, Australia, etc and some people from Africa living in the KP3, 4 of Tan Phong ward. This is a multi-national community, multi-language, diversity culture.
A Japanese residents in the "multinational" neighborhood walking the dog.
The first impression of the new people come to the "multinational" neighborhood, it is the system of interlaced foreign names such as: India, Japan, India restaurant; supermarket, general clinics of Korea; spa service of Japan, Korea, etc. There are also a few Vietnamese restaurants lies compactly between other foreign restaurants.
A Thai restaurant.
The restaurants here are usually closed earlier than the bar, spa, massage. At 10pm, most of the restaurants were closed, bars, karaoke, coffee remains active to 2-3am the next day. When walking around the area, I was parking and talked to a security guard and he shared that:
"Average of 10 people, only one Vietnamese people. The Vietnamese people living in this area most of the class is the rich.
Foreigners who know Vietnamese language, they live quite friendly, fun, seeing as they greet. As couples Brazilian and American, they are veterinarians who live quite emotional, where they are holding hands but when they go out to eat, I saw they paid by one's own money"
A funny story of couples Brazil and the U.S?. The most interesting thing in this place, I feel like I'm lost in a place where don't know where it is!
