Experience when traveling to Yen Bai

Destination to travel
Can be roughly divided landscapes of Yen Bai into two groups, one group for backpackers and people who like taking pictures. One group, travel with a series of famous temples.
Mu Cang Chai is famous for the risky streets, majestic and simplicity of the house hidden in large of earth and sky, the peace of houses is covered by fields. But, the most prominent, diverse beauty of the terraces which appear as impressive leak when green connected directly to the deep color of the sky as "Stairway to Heaven",

Equally interesting is Muong Lo with a series of exciting experiences. First, is the beautiful streets, floral display bowl tea hills, the Muong Lo colorful market. Also, these sites also attract visitors to the Muong Xen festival, the hot spring, spread dances and cuisine.


In addition to these two sites above, visitors of groups discover also like to experience the feeling of floating in Thac Ba lake, boat racing festival in spring, admire majestic of falls, or experience feeling adventurous in Mo waterfall; finding and collecting colorful rocks in Luc Yen rock market. The most prominent of group of spiritual tourism Yen Bai is Festival at Dong Cuong Temple, one of the two largest temples in upstream of Hong river, takes place on the first day(day of cat in lunar calendar) of the year.

Come to this festival, you will learn about the mystery of the white buffalo surgery to sacrifice at night, procession of the mother ceremony cross river, burn incense ceremony to the mother at Ghenh Nhai temple, etc. In addition to soak up the festival, you have opportunity to visit and admire a famous monument which is the charming scenery

Thac Ba lake

Tuan Quan temple, called the day before “ Than Diep phu nhân Bach Lam temple”, second places in the group of spiritual tourism, outstanding with designs from Le dynastry, that is series of festivals such as: Thuong Nguyen ceremony( January 15th in lunar calendar) Mother festival (March 3rd in lunar calendar), Tuan Chanh Death Anniversary (May 15th in lunarcalendar), Father festival - Tran Death Anniversary (August 20th in lunar calendar),New Year Ceremony - Closing Temple (December 25th in lunar calendar).

Also, if you have time, you can visit series of temples, towers such as: Hac Y tower - pagoda, Ngoc Am pagoda, Van Thang pagoda, thanh Mau Au Co linh tu temple.

By public transport

You can buy tickets from Hanoi - Yen Bai at My Dinh bus station or order a ticket in car companies often go this route such as: Muoi Hoa, Hung Lien, Dung Thao


By means of personal
- Yen Bai is about 180km from Hanoi.
From Ha Noi, you can go Yen Bai in many different ways:
- Through Son Tay, Trung Ha bridge, Tam Nong ,along the Hong river and go to Van Phu bridge, Yen Bai.
- Thăng Long bridge, QL2, Phuc Yen, Viet Tri, Đoan Hung, straight to highway 70 , you will come to Yen Bai(easy go and nearest).
- Thăng Long bridge, Phuc Yen, Vinh yen, Lap Thach, Son Duong, Highway 37, Tuyen Quang, Yen Bai.

Accommodation
Center of Yen Bai includes routes: Dinh Tien Hoang, Yen Ninh, Ngô Gia Tu,etc. 
Đong Tam hotel, Mien Tay hotel, Xo So hotel…with the price range 10$ or more, suitable for backpackers. Also, if you come with many people, your group can camping, carrying food processing, the cost will be greatly reduced.

Specialty of Yen Bai


Yen Bai Specialty majority associated with agriculture here .Some prominent names are táo mèo, snow tea, lạp cá( a dish made from fish), crickets(Muong Lo), po mu.

Bring what?
- All your favorite costumes. discreetly dressed when visiting temples and clothes neat, convenient for moving.
- Bring sun protection tools if you come in the dry season, rain protection tools if you come to in the rainy season
- Bring anti mosquito cream, insect sprays ,medicines for common diseases.
- Bring thin coat or thick coat (depending on season) to deal with the cold on highlands at night.
- Bring tent, if you intend to camp.
