Thursday, October 10, 2013
Kien Luong District and Ha Tien Town in Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang are famous for their many historical and cultural relics as well as caves. Going from Ha Tien Town in the direction towards Hang Pagoda - Phu Tu Islet in Binh An Commune, Kien Luong District about 27 kilometers, tourists will see a complex of low limestone mounts where the Crocodile cave is located in.
In the past, this place was flooded, many crocodiles lived here so they call it "Crocodile cave". And, seen from afar, the cave looks like a giant opening-mouth crocodile. Now, this place is no longer flooded and no crocodiles living here. There are vestiges indicating the mount has been fossilized for millions of years. This primitive cave attracts tourists, especially adventure lovers.
