Thang Long Puppet Water Theatre has been recognized Asian record

Thang Long Puppet Water Theatre was honored with the record " the only theater performances continuously 365 days a year " by Organizing Asian record.

The theatre was founded in 1969, it encountered difficulties seemed insurmountable when the traditional art was gradually forgotten and extinct. In 1990, Thang Long Puppet Water Theatre decided to recover the puppet art and to perform for domestic tourists as well as abroad. 

At first, Puppet Water Theatre performed only periodically by week, month. Thanks to the creativity and originality of traditional art that toursits come to here on a more crowded. Frequency of performances as well as revenue increase year after year. So far, most of the tourism programs in Hanoi have also the presentation of the traditional art. Therefore, the theater has performance schedule 365 days of the year with more than 2,000 programs are held regularly. Besides performing continuous 365 days / 1 year, Thang Long Puppet Water Theatre was successful in introducing the traditional art of ethnic to more than 50 countries around the world.
