The ideal destinations to get Tet Trung Thu

The full moon night, also called  Tet Trung Thu (meaning Mid-Autumn Festival) and other names, it is a big night in Vietnam. Although it happens in a night, many interesting acitivities are taken place before and in the night . It makes everyone be happy, especially children. So, what places can you feel "the flavor" of Tet Trung Thu in Vietnam?. You can find out in this post.

Tet Trung Thu happens in almost places in Vietnam, the most interesting in plain. At the night, you can go to any city or any village to get Tet Trung Thu. But, there are some places you can feel "the flavor" of Tet Trung Thu in the clearest way, they are Hoi An, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city which are typical places in Vietnam for you to get Tet Trung Thu. Let's feel through my words and choose one place for yourself.

1. Hoi An

Referring to Tet Trung Thu, it can't fail mention to Hoi An, it is a place which the time seems to be not come to change it. This is not meaning it is not develop, it may be a place which keeps the time. Back to the main point, traveling to Hoi An to get Tet Trung Thu, you will see and join in many activities.


At the night, Hoi An will not lit up by electric light, it can be called a non- electric light night, everyone will hang lantern and lit the city up by candle in lantern. The city will be sparkling by candlelight which is a simple light, you will come back to the past of Vietnam, like time travel. The night comes, the more it is dark, the more the candle is bright. Then, everyone realizes that everything seems to be more beautiful in candlelight, especially Hoai river. The light of candle reflects in Hoai river, creating a magical color which makes people feel like swimming in that thing. Everyone goes out, they talk, laugh together, buy somethings, play some games. It seems everyone forgets the air which is brought by electric, a peaceful feeling.


There is one thing that you shouldn't forget to choose a place, sit with your friends or loved ones, drink tea,eat cake and watch the moonlight. I am sure you will have unforgetable memories.

2. Hanoi

Tet Trung Thu in Hanoi is not less beautiful comparing in Hoi An. Being a capital, Hanoi people also has own their way to get Tet Trung Thu.


Like Hoi An, Hanoi also has old streets, old houses. But, Hanoi doesn't use candlelight to lit the city up as in Hoi An. However, you can also enjoy the moonlight in many places such as: your accommodation when you turn off the light, lakes, cafés, etc. Hanoi people also goes out, many game shows and music shows will be happened. Sound is every where:drum, voice, music, laugh,etc. They are sounds of happiness. Don't forget eat cake, drink tea and watch the moon with your loved people.

3. Ho Chi Minh
In the top of three destinations that you should come to get Tet Trung Thu in Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh is worthy a place for you to travel.


Normally, the city is so sparkling, in the full moon night, it is more sparkling. It has the weather which is different from the above places, it is hotter than the two above places. But, at that night, you will feel the wind of the night, the cool winds flow, bustling streets, interesting sounds. All mix together to bring for you emotions that are difficult to describe.
