Phuc Sen wrought village

Phuc Sen wrought village belongs to Phuc Sen commune, Quang Uyen district, Cao Bang province. It is a traditional craft village, it was born 1000 years ago. Entering the village, you can see a lot of smithy.


Products of the village are the tools that have high quality and serve for the life of people here. The special thing here, the tools here are not made in the high-frequency furnace, they use only eye, hands and long experience. A blacksmith can determine the ripeness of each product in coal to dip into basin of water. Just like that, knife, scissor are hard, ductility in accordance with its use. The handheld tools of Phuc Sen village are presented in and outside Cao Bang.
Turn dense fog on Ma Phuc Pass, along Highway 3, about 10km, a narrow valley with stilt houses brooding in smog, surrounded by stone fences. The two sides of the road, the signs seemed to jump out with invitations to impressive: "Specialized forged hammer, knife,etc."

One special thing on the products of the village, it is "NL" on the products. It stands for "Nong Luong", which is a name of a senior with highly skilled and famous in the past of the village. Forging in Phuc Sen has persisted for several generations and are passed from generation to generation in the form of hereditary.
