"Thien Duong" cave (Heaven cave) - the magical beauty

In the cave, there are many large and beautiful blocks of stalactites. From the information of a local people, his name is Ho Khanh, Thien Duong cave was discovered and it attracted the attention of scientists, explorers and the international community.
“Cave Research Association of Royal British” was organized to discover and publish, the cave has a length of 31.4 km, a width ranging from 30 to 100 meters, 150 meters at its widest point, the height from the bottom to the top about 60 meters.


Dr. Howard Limbert, a member of the association said that this cave may be the longest dry cave in Asia.

From Ho Chi Minh Trail (west branch), the Km16 to the cave, length of about 7km. Over 6 km is a pretty smooth trail, under the shadow of the trees with cool winds. About 300m from the cave, you have to go through the pointed and sharp cat ears rocks

Spectacular structure, magical beauty of this cave has made most people surprise when visiting. The beginning of the cave is a high arch tens of meters, 100 meters in width. Thien Duong cave has cave mouth about 9meters. The top of the cave is so high and wide. Particularly, two giant stalactite columns with 5 meters in diameter, many rich shapes.


The most impressive is a passage stalactite stretching on the ground of the cave as maquette. The middle of the cave has dozens of stalactites from 30 to 60 centimeters, right located at the background like Buddha statue. There are large stalactites with 1-2m in diameter as Guanyin Buddha.


If comparing with Phong Nha cave, Thien Duong has many shapes. Much of the land of the cave is the flexible soil which is wide and quite flat. The temperature in the cave is always at 20 to 21 degrees C. Just standing in front of the cave, you can feel each cool blast blew upward from the bottom


Walking in the cave, you can feel the footsteps or voices, laughter. Sound echoes in the cliffs is very funny as dragging people to talk. Currently, you just visit more than 500 meters because there are many deep and dangerous sinkholes and unstable background.
